My family are regular visitors at the Bedfordview Wimpy, next to the Musica outlet. A few weeks ago, while we were eating I noticed that the staff were rinsing the cutlery in the hand wash basin. (Sometimes, they would put the plug in, and fill it up then rinse the knives and forks, then dry them with a dish cloth.) The hand wash basis is a stainless steel basin there for staff to sanitise their hands while working - and is not very clean.
After our meal pointed out to the Manager, Andre that this was not right and that the hand was basin should not be used to rinse cutlery. He initially defended the staff actions and after I pressed him on this matter he aplologised and said that it would not happen again.
This morning at around 11h30 we ate there again and I can report that Wimpy Bedfordview are still using the staff hand was basin to rinse the cutlery. I drew this attention to the manager, Andre and indicated that I would report this matter in writing - who had nothing to say in his defense. He remembered our last conversation however.
I really hope that they jack up their hygiene standards as this is not what we from a franchise like Wimpy. This is not acceptable.
