Purchased from Steers inside Engen service station.
Paid R23 for my order costing R22.90.
Immaculate (the attendant) did not hand me a receipt nor change and continued to chat with colleagues.
I asked for change and Immaculate rather hesitantly proceeded to process the rest of my transaction.
At that moment a colleague asked 'How much was the change'..
While waiting for my order a gentleman paid for goods costing less than R50 and paid with a R200 note. Immaculate gave him R50 odd change. The guy had to ask for the rest of his change! Immaculate offered a confused look and then gave him his change.
I don't care much for my 10 cents but the Engen service station and Steers risk losing customers and perhaps a little more. I will not go there again on principle and I will mention it to friends and colleagues.
