I was in a foul mood. The local cafe was out of pies, customers with inane support calls, bad start to the day.
So when I walked in to the Columbine square Wimpy at 8 that morning, I was ready to pounce on the least little fault. Even the tiniest thing would set me off.
Surely *something* will be wrong, giving me a chance to vent my spleen!
The store was clean and wholesome.
The waitress was polite and helpful without being obsequious.
The cuppachino cream was fresh! this is rare!
restful atmosphere. Tv on and audible but not nearly loud enough to bother.
Not even the expected greasy smell of a burger joint.
A new star newspaper to read while waiting.
Food arrives. Good prep, good taste.
When finished, a single gesture sufficed to bring the bill.
I walked out of your store with a smile and a spring in my step.

You really turned a sour day into a smile!
