My mother & I had breakfast at Wimpy, Bayside Mall, Table View on Saturday morning. We had 2 vegetarian French Toast, Cappuccino & decaffeinated coffee.
The French Toast was thin & tasteless - it tasted more like fried bread - not egg soaked toasted bread. The size of the bread was also disappointing. Definitely not worth R25.
The decaffeinated coffee tasted awful. My mother only had one sip and complained to the waitress who just smiled and said ok. My mother complained to the cashier and asked her to remove the coffee from the bill considering she didn't drink it, the cashier said no. I would have addressed this matter with the manager, but my baby needed a bottle so I had to leave. I find this unacceptable. I was a restaurant manager of a coffee shop & always did my best to ensure that I as well as the staff addressed the customer's complaints.
If this is the kind of service & food that we are going to receive from Wimpy, we will have to support someone else, which is disappointing.
I emailed Wimpy head office but they haven't acknowledged receipt of my complaint.
