Pathetic Service and no apologies or compensation

We were at the milky lane on Heritage day. We placed an order and waited for our meal. After 20 minutes I asked the waiter about the order and he said "it is coming". After another 15 minutes I asked again and he said it was on its way. I got suspicious when I saw people that arrived after us get their order so I went up to the counter where the prep was done and lo and behold the printer that prints the order from the front cashier was not working 100% and some orders were not getting to the back. Now this is pathetic. The waiter could have checked what the problem was instead of just lying to us that the order was coming. When I approached the manager/owner he was not apologetic and didnt offer any compensation for the long delay.
To top it all I had to personally carry our order to the table which was then made in drips and drabs.
