My friends and I were on our way to party and heard about the "awesome vibes" at news cafe and all the promotions that were going on. We decided to stop there for some cocktails and shooters. When we got there we were the only customers at 19:00. We sat in the smoking section and then proceeded to wait 10 min for a waiter. Eventually i called one away from his circle of friends and we ordered our drinks.
The waiter had no menu knowledge and asked us to show him on the menu what a mojito is! 15 min later our 2 cocktails arrived. The other 2 guests that arrived shortly after us were not even offered drinks. We had to call the waiter back so they could order.
We continually asked for music to be put on and everybody promised it would come on soon but the DJ is late so we will have to wait. I asked for a cd or something to be played but i was told to "just wait". At 20:00 the DJ showed up and started to play in non smoking. I then asked for the speakers in the smoking section to be turned on because we couldn't hear and the manager told us they will not be playing music in smoking this evening. I can move to non smoking if i want music!
Not a place to go if you want a good time!
