My family and myself just had an early dinner at the Centurion Gate Mimmos, which we frequently visit. Unfortunately our table was near the doors leading to the smoking section. During our meal I become aware that the doors leading to the smoking section was open. I requested a waiter to close the doors as the smell bothered us. At first the waiter did not want to close the doors as it was his instruction that the doors should be left open to enable the smoke in the room to clear, the waiter however at our persistence closed the doors. Approximately 10 minutes later the doors were again opened by a waiter upon which we requested to see the manager at once who informed us that the doors were opened on his instructions as a function was going to be held later the night which was to be non-smoking event hence the doors being opened. He confirmed that the previous guests of that section did indeed smoke and informed us that the reason that we smelled the smoke was because the fans above the door that were installed to prevent smoking going into the non-smoking section were turned off. Our whole dining experience was spoiled and I will not be returning there any time soon.
