POOR SERVICE DELIVERY

ON TUESDAY, 26/06/2013 AT ABOUT 10:34, I CALLED NANDOS IN PRETORIUS STREET, PRETORIA TO PLACE AN ORDER WHICH I TOLD THEM THAT I AM EXPECTING TO BE DELIVERED STRICTLY AT 12:30 BECAUSE LUNCH WILL BE AT 13:00. WHAT I ORDERED WAS 2 X FULL CHICKEN MEALS, HALF CHICKEN AND EXTRA SALAD AND EXTRA 4 ROLLS. SHE GAVE ME THE TOTAL OF 462.10. AT 12.10, I CALLED THE RESTAURANT AND THE LADY WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE TOLD ME THAT THE DELIVERY GUY IS ON HIS WAY AND HE WILL BE HERE ON THE AGREED TIME. I WAITED AT THE ENTRANCE FOR THE DELIVERY GUY BUT NO ONE ARRIVED. AT 12:40 I CALLED THE RESTAURANT AGAIN TO CHECK THE DELIVERY AND SPOKE TO GRACE WHO PLACED MY ORDER AND TO MY SURPRISE, SHE TOLD ME THAT THE ORDER IS STILL IN THE SHOP AND WAS FORGOTTEN BY THE DELIVERY GUY. I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE FIRST ONE TOLD ME THAT THE ORDER IS ON ITS WAY. GRACE THEN PROMISED ME THAT SHE IS SENDING THE ORDER RIGHT AWAY.BY THAT TIME IT WAS 13:00 AND THE PEOPLE AT THE MEETING WERE WAITING FOR THE FOOD AND I WAS PANICKING. THE MEETING WAS ATTENDED BY EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS. THE FOOD WAS DELIVERED AT 13:40 BY LINCOLN. ALREADY PEOPLE AT THE MEETING WERE LEAVING. THIS SITUATION HAS DENTED OUR DEPARTMENT'S REPUTATION
