I am really disappointed in our experience last night when my wife and I took our son to Spur for his birthday. What was hoped to be a happy experience turned out a disaster.
I didn't know the Spur took pizza off their adult menu and I really felt like a pizza. The waitress told me the Kids menu has pizza, so I ordered two, but both herself and then the manager refused to let me order off the Kids menu. I ended up back home eating peanut sandwiches for free :)
I suppose they must look after their money and don't make much on the Kids menu (although I was more than willing to pay extra for my "strange" request). And I do feel sorry for the manager who I am sure face different challenges every day- Sir, please forgive me if I came across as rude.
However, it doesn't make sense to me that they have now lost us as a family FOR GOOD- I will never eat at- Spur again since I was extremely embarrassed, where if they said OK we would have remained loyal customers. What sense is there in that?
