On Friday, 26th April, I ordered Pizza's, ribs and peppermint crisp dessert from St Elmo's Soneike, Kuils River for my family. This was for delivered to my home. I put the desserts immediately in the fridge and only opened it on the Satuday morning at around 11a.m. Only to find FUNGUS GROWING on top of the dessert. I called the store immediately and spoke to Yolanda who apologised who informed me that a driver would collect the items.By 4p.m. no driver. I left a voicemail for the owner manager Clinton who did not bother to return my call.
Monday morning I called the head Office and spoke to Enzo Cocca who assured me the matter would be dealt. I sms'd him my my contact details and a photograph of the fungus dessert. In addition there was no 'packed by date' or 'expiration date' on the packaging. Bottom line it was old and moldy and no one bothered to check.
Today is the 14th May and I have not heard a word from St Elmo's. Totally shocked and disgusted!!! I have shared this with my colleagues and friends.
