I went in to O.B for a quick sushi take away, I asked Ashley for a take away menu, saw my regular waiter ((Taz) whom I walked towards and politely advised Ashley that I usually place my orders with him. Mid sentence in explaining my order to Taz, Ashley abruptly says aloud "if you come here again, and he (Taz) isn't here, no one will help you".
I'm considered a regular face at O.B, and to be spoken to like that was infuriating, I asked for the manager, politely explained what happened, to which Ashley spoke from a distance over me and the manager in Xhosa to the bar/ sushi staff. It was at that point I said that I will never ever go to Mitchell's
Plain ocean basket again.
I have told all my family and friends, and will do utmost to inform other social media sites never to go to O.B. I worked in the hospitality industry as manager and waitron. Taz felt embarrassed at Ashley's out burst (, as well as my other regular waitron... not sure of her name), the manager wasn't shore of how big the situation was till I informed him of my intension to report the matter as well as Ashley's out burst across the floor.
I'm not angry, just very disappointed enough to stay away.
