I went into the Eastgate branch of Standard Bank last month to change the cell numbers they have for me on record. I previously had 2 cell numbers recorded and needed to change this to one existing number. The consultant changed the details and confirmed that all my notifications/messages/etc would now be delivered to one number. Despite this confirmation, I am not getting my one-time password sent to my phone when trying to do internet banking.
I went into the Eastgate branch today to try and sort this out and there were only 3 consultants of the possible 8 and a queue of about 7 people. I only have a certain amount of time that I can be out of the office and was unable to wait more than the 30 minutes I had already waited. I dont see why I need to continuously go into the branch to sort out the banks errors on MY account. Why cant this be done online or over the phone like any other bank?
