Last year May I spoke to a "manager" in the FNB personal loans department. She gave me a settlement amount for my personal loan which I payed in full on the 14/05/2012. I spoke to her again to confirm that she recieved the payment and the account was settled in full and closed. I also payed my credit card and petrol cards in full that day and closed them in exactly the same manner. On Wednesday the 24/04/2013 I recieved an sms from Ver-Tex solutions stating that FNB personal loans handed me over for an amount of R18 711.27 for the exact same acount that I paid in full last year and closed. I want to know how is this possible? Three accounts settled in one day and only one conveniently not closed? And in a years time nobody bothered to send me an sms, call me, send an e mail or even and old fashioned statement via the post? Today I spoke to another lady in the loans department who just said that she can see that I did indeed make the payments but I could be that there was a problem with the settlement qaute? After a whole year, now suddenly. Please can somebody resolve this matter urgently. The anger and frustration I am experiencing thanks to FNB personal loans is unexplainable.
