In August 2011 I invested a sum of money with Capitec, Pavilion. I requested it to be two years. However such was the competence at the Pavilion that I decided to check on the interest that was supposed to be paid to my FNB account. I discovered to my horror that no arrangement had been made at the Pavilion to transfer the interest to my FNB account.
I went into the Overport branch and after a number of phone calls, the due interest was transferred to my FNB account. This all happened in 2011.
Today I noticed that my FNB account had not received the interest which normally came into my FNB account on the 24th of the month. I phoned the help line. The lady was very helpful but said that usually just an sms went out to the client to inform him that the investment had matured. I did not receive any sms.
With Nedbank one received a formal letter after a two year investment period one month in advance. I was not informed that I would receive only an SMS when the investment matured. I am distraught because I did not even receive the sms.
I am now seriously out of pocket and no money has been transferred to my FNB account. Please help.
