My Husband and I took out a contract by MTN Maverick Willowbridge last year for a Samsung galaxy S3 and insured the phone through them by Finrite Insurance Administrators (Hiding behind the name 24 hr Mobility insurance, because they have defrauded so many people that they couldnt sell any policy's under there real name) Every month they debited us with a R105. A couple of weeks ago the phone went missing. At the time I was using it and used to sim cards. One for work and a personal line. After begging and sending countless emails, we get an email saying our claim is not approved because we used another sim card. We never insured the sim card. We insured the phone. Now they weasel out of paying the policy out, because they are being dishonest. If the Mtn agent told me I cant use more than 1 sim card I would of told him to shove it and save R105 per month.
My warning to anybody reading this complaint is think very careful before insuring with these!!! They have no problem taking your hard earned money (basically it), but will always find a clause or some small print to weasel out of paying. Rather insure with a company with a proven track record like outsurance.
