Louw & Heyl is the appointed attorneys (by seller) to do the property transfer. On receipt of an email requesting documents i replied with the documents as well as a request to quote me on cost i need to pay. I never received a quote. A week later i received another request for the same documents already supplied. I forwarded my original email and still no quote. On the day i had to sign i was presented with the pro forma statement detailing the cost. I immediately said that i don't agree to these amounts and that i had negotiated discount already. After checking i realized that the discounts negotiated was with the bond attorney and sent an email apologizing and asked them to consider a discount. The response was a 1.98% discount which is quite an odd percentage. I inquired to Danie Potgieter (Partner at Louw & Heyl) and asked him if this is perhaps a typo. He hit back immediately saying that he doesn't like my attitude and i can take it or leave it. Needless to say i am leaving it. Never was their process explained to me of when monies needed to be paid and each time i am dealing with a different person who just blames the previous. In general just a bad experience.
