I ordered a smart phone (i-phone 5) through FNB, of which I pay R350 p/m via debit order. Besides the fact that the phone arrived with ONE SPEAKER NOT WORKING, FNB has been deducting the amount from my account on the 25th, when I only get paid on the 27 / 28th.
I called the callcentre to request that the debit order be changed to the 28th, (& after being transferred to 3 different departments & given multiple "other numbers" to call), I was informed "the FNB t&c's on the website state that it can't be changed". The rude agent then says "You must just make sure you have money in your account on the 25th, there's nothing we can do".
When I completed the application online, I requested that it be deducted after my paydate, to ensure that money was available. I am concerned that I get a mark against my name if the debit order is deducted when there is not enough money in my account.
PLEASE can someone assist me, as I not impressed with the rudeness & lack of assistance I received & feel that it is highly irregular that I cannot change my debit order deduction date?
Such a pity that FNB's online system & iPhone app are so incredible, yet their human interaction so disappointing.
