I was retrenched effective 01/02/2013. On the same day I visited the branch and submitted the relevant certified docs needed for the Account Protection plan claims. This was forwarded onto Finrite insurance administrators several times as they kept on claiming they did not receive even though I received ref no's.??? Last week I called edgars customer care line to query why my account was in arrears as my instalment had been removed by edgars the previous month in hope that my query would be resolved before the due payment date. I was advised that my account protection claim had been declined as my claim was older than 6 months??? Clearly, the person who handled my claim cannot count as it has been just over 2months since I submitted my docs and its taken them this long to approve even though the correct process was followed. I have sent emails requesting urgent feedback to Kevin and Samantha (who I'm told are part of top management) but still no response. I have also tried their call centre 0113751888 numerous times but no one ever answers?? I have given up hope as this is the most pathetic service I have ever received. At the end of the day all my trouble was not even worth it.
