RIDICULOUS SERVICE

After having to deal with the utter service of Absa for the past few years I have FINALLY closed my accounts. Last month I paid over R11 000 still outstanding on my credit and debit account. Paid the fees in cash and settled the rest of the amounts with money from my 32 Day Account which I also cancelled. NOW I AM STILL RECEIVING statements on payments that are DUE! This is utter. And ABSA should start by doing their job. On the day that I went to the bank to close my accounts they first argued that I DID NOT pay the outstanding amounts after which I told them to look at my internet banking and see THAT I did. I refuse to pay any fees as I cancelled my accounts end of March. Do the managers now what quality of service we are receiving? Not to mention the fact that after paying off my student loan and phoning the accounts department and being told that everything is settled I also still receive mails regarding my account. Wake up and do your job, this is why you are losing clients that have been part of your bank since 2005!
