April 2011 - insured with miway, took both vehicles for inspection. Did not recieve copy of policy until November 2012 when I added additional cover, at the time could not understand why the one was more expensive than the other. Contacted miway to inform them that the vehicle is not a utility but a hatchback - said they would rectify the typing error even the inspection report confirmed it was not a utility! no feedback after numerous enquiries but still paying outrageous amount! in March 2013 I insured another Corsa but a newer model but paying nearly R200-00 less than the older model, query miway only to be told it is a utility, now I know for sure the difference and risk profile higher for bakkie and it is a hatchback!! miway insists I dont have to take the vehicle for another inspection but I still get messages that the inspection is outstanding! I'm paying insurance on a utility, since 2011 and I need assistance and am I going to be reimbursed for the so called typing error. and why does my contract still state it is a utility and that my cover was only effective since 1 April 2013? I did not want to leave miway but if cover incorrect might as well move to another!
