Will not settle claim due to method used

I had a laptop out of my vehicle, there were no signs of forced entry which the SAPD say was probably due to the blocking the alarm from locking the vehicle which is now common practice, for that reason my claim was not paid. Is it not unrealistic for an insurance compnay not to pay out when th emethod used is even reconised by the SAPD.

I laid a complaint with the Ombusman to no avail as this has never been dealt with
