I am very dissapointed with ABSA Bank and how is easily happening with our funds. On Easter Monday 01 April 2013 I have received an sms notification at 19h38 that an amount of R30.08 was debited from my account for ABSA life Cover with the Policy no:6420839124, I was surprised because I do not have a debit order that goes off on that date and I do not remeber opening that Policy so on 04 April 2013 I went to Absa Bank in Sunnyside to enquire about it and the consultant by the name of Ezelle confirmed that my account was debited and its for an absa Life policy and I gave her the Policy number from the sms notification and she then phone their Contat centre and gave me the phone to speak with the guy by the name Khaya Noluso he requested my ID number and asked me to confirm my date of birth and address which I did and he told me that I have a Life Policy with them. I asked him when was the Policy opened and he said 01 April 2012 and the amount was debited on the same night, strange. I want to know who opened that policy? Khaya did not know who opened the Policy. He promised that my R30.08 will be refunded but until today I am still waiting for the refund.
