In October 2012 I applied for a loan. It was approved by the System for R108k. When I went to sign - suddenly reduced to R 72k. I did not take this up and I went onto HP and complained. Mediocre reaction - no result. I then (a few months later) re-applied) - this time the system determined that I could only afford R5k - I tried to take up the offer to try and build a relationship with AB - this did not materialise as well as no follow up was done - I had to do all the follow up.
I tried again and was phoned by a lady from the call centre. All the usual rap about recorded call etc and then the application and then she informs that the system says I cannot afford the loan because of all the loans I have.
I challenge AB to list these loans and provide proof of them as I keep track of my ITC and there are only three companies listing for a total of approximately R 1500.00 - not loans but clothing accounts!!
I am a Systems Integrator and I would love to meet AB programmers - they are a unique breed as they can take the human factor out of any system and make it take decisions based on bits and bytes it's fetching in India!!
