I joined outsurance last year Jan and was paying R890 a month on premiums. About a month or so later I decided to cancel coz it was too expensive because I'm an intern. The guy I spoke to suggested he lower it to about R700 which was still to expensive and so he lowered it to R181 and told me that I'm still covered for the same things except environmental causes, car explosion and car hire. I accepted because I thought I could live with that. Yesterday I call to make a claim that I wanted to fix my car as I was in as accident and my side mirror came off and there's a dent and scratches I needed to fix. They tell me I'm not covered for accidents only third party damages and third party injury. The lady suggests I upgrade to Premium which will be about R700 but I say I can't afford this.
This morning I call telling them I still wan to cancel so after I do she says they will refund me about R100... 100 Rands???!!! what about last year??? I have payed in about R2000 into outsurance only to get back 100??? I am an intern, single mother and have just given outsurance R2000 which I could have used to fix my car. No-on told me that I won't get my premiums back!!!
