Pathetic client service

Today i made the mistake to try and open a new account at my current bank where i have been bankng for almost 20 years, i hold 4 accounts and of which one is my property bond, an account where they nearly have every bit of detail of my life, only thing they dont have is a blood and urine sample.

I recently where told to supply them with proof of adress and I.D so my accounts could be verified, also the same was needed to apply for a bond, which i did and they should have on record, but no, i tried to open a simple savings account today but were rudely turned away, told that they can't go onto those records they have of me and new ones were needed...

REALLY, it is not like I walk around everyday with proof of adress, or my green SA I.D, the South African drivers lisence are accepted by most other banks and companies, why not Standrard Bank, the bank that have records of me for almost 20 years... so much for a personal relationship with your bank.

Good thing i can change banks and accounts.
