The service at Kathu branch and the ATM's are extremely poor.
On various occasions the Deposit function at ATMs does not work, and several of the ATMs itself is also out of order. My husband use the deposit function a lot, as his working hours do not allow him to visit the branch during branch hours.
I know he tried to get hold of the Branch Manager on various occasions, left messages, but all to no avail. No response from the Manager what so ever.
The service in-branch is also pathetic, unfriendly staff have a care free attitude, and does not bother to make a formal appointment with any of the consultants.
The online services help you up to a point, from where you need to visit your nearest Branch to finalize the deal or querry, but this is impossible at Kathu Branch. We financed our vehicle at FNB last week, as we could not get Standardbank to assist us with finance due to their poor service.
We are Prestige clients, but do not get the correct services we require from Standard Bank.
