Absa
5 months and still no resolution on insurance clai

The story is long but basically we were flooded and registered a claim on 14 August 2012 with Absa. It took them TWO MONTHS to get contractors in to deal with the damage which resulted in severe moisture seeping into our screed. Cut forward to January 2013 - due to lack of communication between Absa and National Loss Adjustors I still have a wet screed (ie concrete throughout my home) and an unfinished kitchen. I have been trying to get authorisation since last week Thursday for us to move out of our home so that fans/extractors can be fitted (again) to get everything dry. In November we had to move out for 12 days at our own expense and I am not prepared (or in a position) to do that again. Miss Cameron is passing the buck to the loss adjustors (who I have been unable to reach in the last 3months) and now she is unresponsive to my emails and avoiding taking calls. I was told today (at my third attempt to reach her) that she is too busy to take call and will call me at her convenience. I am at my wits end as I have not EVER been able to speak to this person that is handling my claim - not ONE phone call in 5 months. The same can be said of National Loss Adjustors.
