I was notified that my new FNB card would be delivered by CCD Couriers on around 24 February 2013. I was phoned and received a further two SMS" to say that the card would be delivered between 9 and 11am. I waited the whole day but the courier failed to appear. I was then advised that the card would be delivered on 4 March 2013. I advised them that I wouldn't be available. In spite of this I received further SMS' saying that the card would be delivered on 4 March. I went to see a very helpful Branch manager (Garden Route Mall) in George who arranged to have my card delivered to the branch. A couple of days later I was able to collect it. I then received another SMS to say that my card would be delivered by courier on 13 March 2013. And so on 13 March another card was delivered to me. I once again had to have the local Branch manager sort this out. With corruption rife, I shudder to think about how many credit card cards with my name on are floating about. Why does FNB use couriers, when it is a lot more secure and efficient to collect the card at the bank?
