Standard Bank: On the verge of collapse?

A few months back I activated my Internet Banking on my Blue Online credit card. Regrettably, due to a terrible computer problem my password was entered incorrectly 3 times.

Standard Bank was supposed to send me a new Credit Card (expired) and garage card (expired) to my Lyttelton Branch. Never received cards, never got SMS (my number still the same), was never phoned. Phoned them - cards already sent back.

During a phone call in Jan this year I tried to order a new card, "sorry offline, please call in later".

In Feb I went to Jacaranda Centre to (1) close my Garage Card; (2) order a new Credit Card. Once again Jacaranda branch informed me that I need to "phone in..."

2 Weeks back I went to Jacaranda to swap my MTN Account for an SB Access Account as instructed via an SMS. Staff members had no idea what to do. I must phone the call centre...

Today went to Jacaranda Centre again. As always the branch has a dull atmosphere, and no music to set the mood. Need: To reset Internet Banking:
1. "NO you need your card (expired...)
2. "NO your ID won't help. Branch manager won't override.
3. "NO you cannot link 2 cards in IB" (I have Blue Bean too).

What a useless, degrading Bank.
