Shocked i just want my money back

I lost my ID but do have the one with my old surname. I had a personal loan with ABSA and laste month i went to African Bank and they paid my personal loan with Absa in full. So end of February ABSA is still takeing money from my account. I then went to the Midrand ABSA, explain what happend and told the lady i have my old ID but with a certified copy of the new one. She just looked at me and said i need the ID with your new surname on. Can it be so hard to get my money bad.
