One of ABSA banks, bonded properties, 3 Green Mountain Close, Green Mountain Village was sold on a public auction for R475000.00 on 14 February 13 on condition that the seller (ABSA) was responsible to pay the auctioneers commission.
I made an higher offer of R490, 000 and in terms of the offer to purchase, Venditor intentionally charged me the buyer commission of 6% plus vat which totalled to an amount of R33, 516.00 therefore total offer R523, 516.00.
The first purchaser then only equalled the offer of R490, 000.00 but excluding the commission & vat and I was advised that my offer was eqaulled and therefore declined without having an opportunity to make another offer. My ABSA complaint reference number is 2265589.We wanted to buy this property for retirement and we were unlawfully denied.
