Upon the acceptance of my offer on a house, I approached Absa for a homeloan. Long story short, besides all the accounts I have with them, etc, they offered me an interest rate of 10.3%. Standard bank, with whom I have no history whatsoever (never mind my R50k in savings at Absa), offered me 9.5%. After more fights with Absa, I decided to with standard. I received such good service, that I have since moved both my personal and business accounts to Standard. Thanks for the great service.
