Claiimed for hail damage to our roof in October 2012.From the beginning the response has been tardy, we eventually had to go through private bankers to get a response. In December 2012 we were informed our claim was rejected as our roof was not maintained. (The storm was so severe that maintenance would have made no difference) anyway, we sent through proof of ongoing maintenance to the roof. we kept getting promises of a response within 24 hours. We were informed the senior consultant is Theresa Patel (who never takes our calls or calls back when messages are left) then informed Palesa Mokone will be dealing with this, re email her the proof of maintenance only to get a response that she will be out of the office until August 2013! Then we are informed Martha would follow up in 1 business day, which came and went. Then Nicholas Morake was given the job! By mid febuary we are informed we are offered R20 000.00 to fix entire roof!!! After paying insurance for 10 years with no claims! We then got a quote from the suppliers that bank sent out to give a quote which was R70 000! Which is sent through to Standardbank who promptly call the supplier and threaten to take their business away
