Thanks to Auto & General for 'bending over backwards' :) to cover the replacement of my geyser. According to the letter of the law they were within their rights to not replace. To fix a very old geyser at my cost would have resulted in a burst geyser anyway, which they would then have had to replace. Recognising this, and in the spirit of trust and good relationship, they paid out - thank you!
Its nice to have a good news insurance story to tell around the braai!
