My FFW household insurance premium was increased by 28% from 2012 to 2013. I received no notification, merely a new amount as a monthly debit order. Upon calling their customer care, I was told by an agent (reading from a script) that FFW sent me a note informing me that premiums were automatically adjusted between 8% to 10%. This was certainly not the case for me, but he refused to connect me to anyone more senior and told me he would not confirm my calculation of 28%, even when I read the figures out to him. He then said I could apply for a discount, but that I had already received one during 2012. The "discount" he spoke of was me removing specified items from my policy in order to bring my premium down - NOT A DISCOUNT. No offer for a call back, no offer to speak to a more senior person, Nothing. Long silences on the phone while I waited for input/suggestions. What a total waste of 25minutes... for my phone account. Shopping shopping around...
