History has no relevance

I applied per e-mail at 09h41 this morning for vehicle finance for my daughter who has previously had finance with them and was timeously settled. I told them it was URGENT as their were 2 other parties interested in the car.

At 13h19 I mailed an enquiry. At 15h22 I called and was told it had been declined due to her failing their Risk Profile Test? She earns a decent salary, lives at home, has NO debt and - best of all - her previous history with them has no relevance! How did they test her??

They offered to resubmit to their credit div with recommendations. At 16h27 I called and was told that the line was busy. I asked that my call be returned BEFORE they went home. It is now 17h58 and guess what? What didn't they understand about URGENT? The odds are we will miss this opportunity due to their lack of interest. Being a Platinum client for 15 years means nothing. I mentioned to them that MFC (Nedbank affiliate) are offering MV finance at prime. Their response was 'they are going for market share". Where do they think MFC are going to get it from? Maybe I should see how their service compares.
