After my initial complain about Standard Bank wanting to take legal action against me as i owe them R6000 for bank charges, someone made an attempt to call me. My phone rang twice and I am sure that I should be greatful that they took the time to follow up on my complaint.

I received an email that same day. My name was mispelt as well as being addressed as Miss Van Vuuren. That is not my name. I tried calling the consultant to discuss my options in reducing/repaying my account that is in the red, I have been unsuccessfull.

Standard Bank was kind enough to grant me an overdraft facility a while. I was retrenched and was receiving UIF. I had various financial products that I have taken through STD bank (funeral policies etc). i asked several consultants as well as using online banking to stop/cancel debit order as I could not afford it any more. Std Bank still penalised me R115 everytime a debit order was due and I had no money. I now owe them R11 800 in bank charges. Legalnexus has now threatened to attach my assets if I dont pay up. Sure, if i had the money I would do so...

Altogether... Unhappy with the service... UNHAPPY with the bank. And a bad credit rating to show as proof.
