I was retrenched a while back and therefore had all my accounts fall into arrears.
Since finding new employment, I have entered into agreements to pay everything I owe.
In December a lady contacted me regarding an outstanding personal loan, I told her I would try and get to the bank to make a payment but this is not always possible due to work times, but if she could please set up a monthly debit order.
This was not done.
I am still struggling financially to catch up with all the debt that has piled up.
Yesterday, I had to apply for a boodle loan just to cover my rent, as my sons father is erratic with maintenance payments.
As soon as the loan came in, Absa took the money out again.
I now have no money for rent, I am a single parent with two boys I support myself.
If I don't pay rent, I am going to be evicted.
I feel sick, I have not slept, worrying about what is going to happen to me and my boys today because I am unable to pay the rent.
Can we come and sleep in one of your branches?
Are you going to give us a place to stay?
Are you going to explain to my boys why their home is being taken away?
