After my colleague praised her bank, I was impressed and wanted to experience and compare her bank benefits with mine. Little did I know that I was approaching the WORST bank in South Africa. 150 YEARS OF MOVING BACKWARDS.

27/01/2013 I went to Menlyn Mall to open Elite account (Debit Credit card). Before I left the bank consultant confirmed that all is fine and approved, only thing left was to confirm employment and the cards will be delivered in 7 working days. I am still waiting...
08/02/2013 I phone 012 428 8200 - non-existance, referred to 0860 101 341, then referred to 0861 201 040. I have depleted my airtime with the 2/3 calls for /- 20 min daily and Standard Bank doest seem to care at all and all they do is to send me from pillar to post.

All I get recently is that the application is pending on the system and no one knows why the pending. No one is attending to my application. Im not allowed to talk to neither branch manager nor supervisors. Those who answered my calls promised to call me back and they never do that.

I AM SO VERY TIRED, ANGRY AND GUTTED BY YOUR HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!
