Home Loan Application Process

I am a Prestige Account holder and I have recently applied for a home loan with my husband. In fact this was the second time we applied for a home loan with Standard Bank. The first application was granted but when but the seller sold the property to another.
With the second application, we followed the same process we ensured that the offer to purchase had enough of a time frame for us to apply for the loan. We submitted everything on time and waited. Later the Home Loans division requested an explanation of my husband's salary because the amounts that reflected on the bank statement was different from what we stated is his salary. Please bear in mind that the deposits that reflected on his bank statements, were the same amounts that reflected on his payslips. My husband then sent a letter explaining why there was a difference, but the Home Loan division came back requesting a letter from my husband's employer. Up till now the Employer has not sent through the letter, so I wanted to know if there is anything else we can do to continue the application without this letter? I would really appreciate it if a senior manager could contact me regarding this issue.
