I was involved in accident in September 2012 and paid R3000 excess. It was confirmed via a police report that the 3rd party was wrong as a result MiWay could/would claim back the costs of repairing my car from the 3rd party and my excess repaid to me. The car was repaired by October 2012 and since then there hasn't been any progress on my R3000 being refunded. When i made a follow with 16 Jan 13 expressing my concern about thew delay in this matter being finalised, i was told by one of their legal advisors that .."There has been absolutely no delay relating to the recovery on your claim. Follow ups are done on average twice a month with the other party insurance company"...

By my standards this is a huge delay and being told that 2 follows ups are made per month (i.e. twice every 30 days) is highly unacceptable. To date the matter hasnt been resolved (5 months after the accident)
