Cancelled Policy

On the 3rd Jan 2013 I received a letter in the post regarding a MedCare policy I had taken out years before. this letter stated that a new company had taken over the underwriting and that the whole policy thing was changing. It gave me the option to cancel the policy which I duly did on the 3rd. I phoned the company Rob Edward & who had taken over the policy and I spoke to a gentleman by the name of Pieter. He took all my details down and noted that I was cancelling the policy. He asked me to fax him a letter regarding this which I did. Now, my fax machine does not print reports if a fax goes through, only if it doesnt and after the fax went through, it stated transmission complete. So now, I get my bank statement and I note that the debit order has once again gone off my account for Feb. I phoned the company in question and they tell me that they have never received a fax from me and there is nothing they can do without me providing proof that the fax went through. I obviously tried to print a fax transmission report, but it only prints the current month!
How many other people have had money taken and the response of "sorry, cant do a thing"? Its!
