Unable to overcome systems in the people business

I have fallen behind on my policy payments. I have had my life policy with Liberty since 2007 and paid my contributions religiously. My husband has been without work for more than a couple of months. I phoned to make arrangements as it eventually caught up with me and the only feedback was:
"Our systems and processes has set a default date and there is nothing we can do to help unless you make a payment before the end of the month to save your policy, your policy has been scheduled to lapse by 25th of the month."
My salary is only paid in to my account on the last day so I can't make payment before then. Liberty is in the people business and allow their systems and processes to run their company and was not able to assist me in any way. I will now lose this policy due to being more concerned about the bottom line (revenue) than the people where the revenue comes from.
This is a very traumatic time in my life and now I will lose this policy that I nurtured for more than 6 years even in previous difficult financial situations, due to systems and processes. Be careful Liberty that your systems and processes does not cause you to be inflexible. Flexibility is crucial
