Defective BB received

I purchased a blackberry 9790 through FNB smart phone offers. i received the phone end October and a week later the phone was in my pocket and it started burning up and literally over heated and burnt out. I thought it was the battery so replaced the battery (R1000 later) and the same thing happened within 3 minutes of putting the new battery in.
I contacted FNB who said i need to call Cell C as they purchased the device through them. I contacted Cell C and they said they no nothing about it. I have been back and forth between Cell C and FNB for the last two weeks from branch to branch and phone call after call costing me quite a bit of money and to this day nothing has been resolved and no one can point me in the right direction.
i am now sitting with a dead product that i am paying for on a monthly basis and FNB refuses to help as well as Cell C.
Then somewhere in between was told to go to the black berry kiosk in Canal walk and the person there told me to contact my insurers and report the phone.
I am still awaiting a result on this - absolutely disgusting. All the while i pay insurance through FNB on this phone as well as my monthly installments. and FNB refuses to help
