On Wednesday 13 Feb I tried to withdraw money from an ABSA ATM at The Village shopping centre in Moreleta Park. The machine took about 5 minutes after I entered my instructions after which it displayed a message on screen saying "your transactions was cancelled due to a technical error" and gave me back my card. After a few minutes though I got the SMS saying that the transaction had been processed from my own bank (Nedbank). It is now 5 days later and the money is still not back in my account. How can ABSA take the money from my account if their own machine said the transaction was cancelled due to an error?
Really bad that this is not corrected automatically and I also could not find a number/contact on ABSA's website to report this matter and query what is happening.
