I took out a samsung galaxy tab last october, 2012 with FNB- while ordering the tablet, they asked if i wanted insurance, and i ticked yes (R40 a month).
last december 2012, my galaxy was from my fiance's car- we were visiting a friend, and our car was parked in the drive way (locked). the front gate was locked too. (MIND YOU THIS IS A SAFE NEIGHBOURHOOD) the found a way in, smashed the car window, valuables- my tab included. (it was hidden under the passenger seat.) last week, i followed all the neceesary steps to register my claim with FNB (case and ITC no given). yesterday, antonella emails me to say that I MUST PAY AN EXCESS OF R581.20 and my contract with FNB will be cancelled. she says that they arent allowed to replace devices. BUT IT STATES CLEARLY IN THE POLICY THAT FNB WILL REPLACE OR REPAIR, LOST OR DAMAGED DEVICES!!
