I submitted a claim to Standard Bank Insurance on 18 January after the front door and security gate to our house was damaged in a burglary. They first referred me to a service provider that informed us that they do not do any work for Standard Bank. After that they referred us to another provider who turned up the following day. This was on 24 January and we were told that we could expect authorisation by the 28th, following which the repairs - which will take an estimated 6 weeks - can begin. Since then, no communication, not even replies or courtesy acknowledgement of receipt to my e-mails. I have given up trying to call, the waiting period is more than 30 minutes.
