The worst bank with service

I have requested a settlement on my loan account and I received it, I paid the settlement amount in full and sent the proof of payment to the head office.
I called them a week later and they said I should go into the branch and they can close it for me there.
I went into the woodmead branch and they scanned the docs in and said they will provide me with feedback by the 29 Jan 2013.
I have received many calls stating that i have an outstanding balance, i explain to them over and over that it has been paid and sent the proof of payment off many times.
African bank doesn't have any way of operating it's actually the worst bank i have ever come across with regards to service and process, their consultants don't know what they are talking about.

I don't recommend that anyone approaches this incompetent bank
