False Advertising

I applied for a Cheque and Credit Card account with FNB. I decided to switch banks, and since they advertise that it only takes 48 hours to finalise applications I decided to switch to FNB. I applied on the 21st of January 2013 and my applications are still not finalised. I'm not getting any feedback/response from FNB regarding this. My overdraft facility on my cheque account has not been activated and my credit card application is still not approved. If this is how business is done, I would rather switch to another bank. I've never experienced such poor customer service from a bank.
