I received a call back from FNB and was told by a lady that my credit card application had been approved. I was told that if I paid off my other two accounts I would qualify for a credit limit of R 14 700 and if I chose not to take the switch option then I would qualify for a credit limit of R 8 000. She also informed me that if I wanted to increase my overdraft facility I would qualify for an overdraft of R 17 000. I politely declined the overdraft facility and opted for the switch option on the credit card. However I changed my mind and decided to go into my branch in Florida Road, Durban, to discuss things with them before sending in my application forms. Well, what a surprise I got when I was informed that I don't qualify for any overdraft and that the second credit card option (R 8000) does not exist. Was I talking to a on the phone this week? How is it possible that information can change so drastically in the space of three days, when my circumstances are exactly the same? I am very disappointed with the way FNB have treated me and handled this situation. It's really dridiculous!!!
